UPDATES 2/28/12!

Phew!

So, had to do a lot of work to get the ITunes Stream back up and running. Basically what happened was, back in the day, I was using a site called Mevio, which when I joined it was originally called Podshow, to host the site and make it ITunes subscribable. Well, inbetween me doing St Nick and the new PoinkCast, Germophobe, Mevio changed their policies; as far as I can tell they decided to change things where they were only hosting sites that brought in advertising revenue. Not sure of the exact details, but what happened was, in January they went through and suspended a ton of podcasters without any warning at all. I found out a month later when things slowed down enough for me to actually create some new content. Now, if you do a search on Google, a lot of folks are royally ticked with them. I can see why; I will make the following statement and consider this the end of the matter. I appreciate the years that Mevio let me host the PoinkCast on their site. I don't fault them for changing a policy to ensure they continue to thrive. However, I DO fault them for not letting people that depended on the site know what was going on, then suddenly suspending all these accounts with no warning or chance to do any sort of backup or preparation. Fortunately, I do keep backups so fixing this on my end amounted to simply a pain in the ass, but I can only speak for me. If you intend to use them; I would keep in mind past behaviors such as these and realize that you should have a backup plan, and again, with the way this was handled, it doesn't show a lot of concern for the well being of people wanting to use this site.

Well, when all of this happened; I was faced with 2 options; either find another site to host these so I could make sure the ITunes Stream stayed in place, or figure out a way to link them to an .RSS feed myself. After the experiance with Mevio, I was loathe to put myself in someone else's hands again, so I went with the latter. All of the PoinkCasts are now hosted and being fed to RSS through MY site, and I have gone through and redone all of the links and descriptions. I even noticed that one of my favorite PoinkCasts, Taco Enorme, wasn't listed on my site or the Itunes stream, so that has been corrected as well. So now, you can download them here, from my Fur Affinity Site, subscribe directly with the RSS feed, or just search the ITunes Store for PoinkCast and subscribe there to get all the weasel and seacow goodness you crave. I want to thank my website hosts, the staff at Itunes, and Podcastblaster for being easy to use, understandable and helpful in making all this relatively easy to re-set up. And I especially want to thank the fans; when I launched the new one I got quite a few private and public messages about how much people missed them and are glad they are back. And they are back, as well as my plans for HughTube and a show for the Rabbit Hole's Internet Radio Stream; Howler is doing a fantastic job with that, and I'm trying to get the PoinkCast's to him early so he can run them there before I put them out for general release. But again, I mostly want to thank the fans; If you didn't want them, I wouldn't do them. Let's rock.

So feel free to hit the contact page and subscribe to me in various places, rate me on ITunes, and message me with your various ideas and thoughts. And remember, the PoinkCast is for mature individuals; do not plunk your kid down in front of this and go shopping, unless you want to come back to them having an amazing knowledge of the various naughty parts of the male and female anatomy and know tons of ways to piss people off!
